Due to the slightly more angular grain, the blue soil looks very natural and appealing in the aquarium. It is therefore the perfect solution for aquascapes and natural aquariums. The soil is rich in plant nutrients but contains no ammonium, which prevents early-stage algal blooms.

Application
Place the soil unwashed in the aquarium. When filling with water, be careful not to stir up the soil. It is best to put a flat plate in and direct the jet onto the plate. So the soil is not whirled up. Change 50% of the aquarium water every 3 days for the first 2 weeks to prevent accumulation of minerals in the water. Depending on the water change and the starting water, the pH-lowering effect decreases over time.
How much substrate do I need?
The need for our Activ Soil Bongrund for your aquarium can be easily calculated: Aquarium length in cm x width in cm x desired substrate height in cm: 1000 = Corresponds to the number of liters of soil you need. With a 20 liter cube, that would be 25 cm x 25 cm x 3 cm floor height: 1000 = 1.875 liters, i.e. a 2 liter bag of our Activ Soil.
