Gastrobac is a medicinal product for ornamental fish and is highly effective against bacterial mucus formation on the skin and gills of ornamental fish in fresh water.
Due to the presence of large amounts of biological residues in the aquarium, such as food residues, dead aquatic plants and dead fish and snails, the bacterial pressure caused by infections caused by pathogens increases significantly in the aquarium.
Larger quantities of snails can cause bacterial diseases in fish, which are also referred to as "bacterial snail disease" and "bacterial mucus".
Gastrobac is well tolerated by fish, shrimps, plants and filter bacteria.
Precautions
Gastrobac will not tolerate snails. Ornamental snails (e.g. apple snails and others) must be removed before treatment.
In large quantities, dead animal and plant residues spoil the water quality and can cause oxygen depletion (lack of oxygen) in the aquarium. Pay attention to the water quality. If in doubt, a water change is recommended.
